fancy script hello

I’m Mickie and I’m the owner of One Strong Southern Girl based in Tennessee.

I’m a wife, mother, sister and friend.

Over the last 10 years I’ve become a home fitness expert.

In 2016 I started OneStrongSouthernGirl.com to share fitness tips and home exercise program reviews with other home fitness enthusiasts.

Like most women I love to surround myself with pretty things and I’m always on the hunt for anything that will make me look forward to my next workout.

Out of all of my fitness tools I use my exercise step the most.  Over the years I’ve purchased several steps of different sizes and styles.  And I quickly discovered that they are NOT all the same.

I decided that I wanted to find the best exercise platform and make it even better.

Through personal experience I found the best platform style for all exercises (traditional step aerobics, plyometrics, high-intensity interval training and sculpting/toning routines) that use a step.

My step is the perfect width and length to safely and comfortably use for step aerobics as well as supine weight work.

The surface is a soft, non-slip rubber that’s gentle on your hands and back and the rubber attachments under the platform and risers help keep your step in place.  The risers are crafted to fit snugly inside of each other and under the platform.

After I settled on the best style I decided that I really wanted a piece of equipment that appealed to anyone who loves color and beautiful equipment.

So I chose 5 colors that make me smile and put them into the perfect piece of exercise equipment.

"Based on more than a decade of personal experience you can trust that my platforms are the perfect style for every kind of step exercise, will add a gorgeous pop of color to your fitness space and get you excited about your next workout."--Mickie, owner, One Strong Southern Girl

Pick the color that makes you smile and see if it doesn’t add a new spark to your exercise program.
